Broccoli


Broccoli has proven to be packed with cancer-fighting compounds and is one of the top anti-cancer vegetables.  Studies have shown that eating broccoli reduces the risk of rectal and colon cancer, throat, mouth, respiratory cancers, gastro-intestinal and cervical cancers.

Broccoli Facts – has health benefits such as:

– lowering the risk of cancers, particularly of the colon, stomach and lungs
– protects against gum disease and anaemia
– maintains strong teeth and bones

Broccoli contains the natural cancer-fighters ‘indoles’, ‘dithiolthiones’, ‘carotenoids’ and ‘glucosinolates’.  These chemicals detoxify and neutralize the cancer-causing carcinogens ingested or absorbed by the body.

Broccoli, due to its dark green leaves, has lots of chlorophyll, which helps to block cell mutations or changes that precede cancer.

Broccoli has high amounts of cancer-fighting carotene from Vitamin A, Vitamin C and calcium.


Broccoli is full of healing nutrients and minerals, and a good amount of folic acid (28%) to protect against anaemia and blood disease and lots of calcium to maintain strong bones and teeth.
